 Climber at Ben Lomond summit

On the left is a seasoned climber that I met at the summit. Visiting Scotland from his home of Sweden.

Kindly agreeing to be photographed standing on the spot height marker quite literally on top of western Scotland.

The photographs on this page were all taken from the top of Ben Lomond.

The climb to the summit from Rowerdennan is a hard climb in places for all but experienced hill walkers.

 

Although the lighting and atmospheric conditions were not exactly ideal to obtain outstanding photographs, I had unfortunately neglected to pack a graduated filter. Therefore some of the skylines are a little overexposed.

However I thought it still worth posting these images, as I hope you also agree the views are most impressive.

Ben Lomond is 3195 feet/974 meters and one of the 284 hills over 3000 feet in Scotland classified as a Munro.
